I tried to make it bit different from the way my mom & mother in law normally cooked it, but it's homely and easy.
Time required: Less than 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
● 200 gm Katla fish ● 1 onion (chopped) ● 1 onion pest ● 1 tomato (chopped) ● 1 tsp ginger pest ● 1 tsp garlic pest ● 1 tbsp hung curd ● 2 tsp red chilli pd ● Salt (to taste) ● Sugar (to taste) ● Turmeric pd ● 2 tsp ghee ● Refined oil ● Mustered oil
Procedure:
Step 1: Wash the fish pieces in water, and mix them with a turmeric pd & salt.
Step 2: Hit some muster oil in a pan and fry the pieces it turns golden on both sides.
Step 3: Take another pan add some refined oil & ghee.
Step 4: Add chopped onion, fry for few minutes. Then add onion pest & sugar again fry for few sec.
Step 5: Add ginger & garlic pest.
Step 6: When the onion has turned brown color then add the chopped tomatoes, one pinch of turmeric pd & some salt.
Sept 7: Add little bit of warm water, then cover the pan and cook few min till the tomatoes are done.
Sept 8: Add red chilli pd and curd, mix well and make a pest.
Step 9: Cook this curry for about 2 min. Now add the fish then cook few sec.
Step 10: At last add little bit of ghee and you are done!
It is ideal to serve with hot rice..
