Paneer is Indian cottage cheese prepared from milk. It is high protein food, it is often substituted for meat in many vegetarian entrees of Indian cuisine. When it comes to body building and muscle toning, paneer is a promising appendage to a diet regimen. However, the product definitely scores high in fat and cholesterol and it would be best to limit its intake especially for those with heart conditions, hypertension and - due to its lofty carb amount – diabetes.
Today my experimental dish is inspired from Paneer Kofta. I try to make a special paneer dish “Paneer Pasand” to go with puri or nun. It is quite sweet flavours and creamy textured gravy. It’s healthy, testy but not very rich. It’s very simple recipe and easy to cook.
Time required: Less than 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
● Paneer 100 gm (grated) ● I tbsp flour ● 2 tbsp peanut (crushed) ● ½ tbsp icing sugar ● 2 tsp poppy seed pest ● 1 tbsp cashew nut pest (kaju) ● Hung card 50 gm ● ½ tsp cardamom pd ● Pinch of black seeds ● Salt (to taste) ● 2 tbsp (table spoon) ghee ● Refined oil
Procedure:
Step 1:Take a bowl and make the dough with paneer, peanut, flour & icing sugar.
Step 2: Divide the dough into small balls
Step 3: Heat some ghee in a pan and fry the ball until golden brown.
Step 4: Take another pan and add little bit of refined oil & black seeds.
Step 5: Add poppy seeds, curd, kaju pest & sugar then cook for few sec.
Step 6: Add some salt & small warm water and mix very well.
Step 7: At last add the panner ball in gravy and mix well. Let simmer for 5 to 6 min and your dish is ready to serve.
