Green peas are one of the most nutritious leguminous vegetables, rich in health benefiting phyto-nutrients, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. Folates are B-complex vitamins required for DNA synthesis inside the cell. Well established research studies suggest that adequate folate rich foods in expectant mothers would help prevent neural tube defects in the newborn babies. Time required: Less than 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
● 12 to 15 fresh pea pods/ sugar snap peas (strings removed) ● 3 tbsp flour ● 3 tbsp gram flour ● 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda ● ½ cup fresh peas (boil) ● 1 potato (boil) ● 1 onion (chopped) ● 3 to 4 green chillis (chopped) ● 1 tbsp cheese (grated) ● 1 sp cumin seed pd (roasted) ● ½ sp (tea-spoon) black paper ● 1 pinch black seeds ● Salt (to taste) ● Sugar (to taste) ● Refined oil
Procedure:
Step 1: Hit some water and add pea pods cook for few min till pea pods are soft.
Step 2: Hit some oil in a pan add black seed.
Step 3: Add onion & green chilli. Now fry 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 4: Add green peas, potato (boil), cumin seed pd & some salt .Now cook for few sec.
Step 5: Next Add black paper, sugar & cheese, now mashed very well.
Step 6: Keep aside and wait for cooling.
Sept 7: Take a bowl and make a smooth batter with flour, gram flour, soda, salt & little bit warm water.
Sept 8: Soak the pea pods and add the mixture on middle.
Step 9: Dip the pea pods in the batter and deep fry the pakoras until golden brown. Drain and place on an absorbent paper.
